Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
Through Good Neighbours Australia’s implementing partners, we build infrastructure like water facilities such as wells, hand pumps and toilets for schools and local communities, while also raising awareness about good hygiene practices and their role in staying healthy.
In Mozambique, we’ve provided access to safe and reliable water supplies in several schools and their surrounding communities, through installing new bores and pumps.
In Bangladesh, the Philippines and Vietnam, our Better Life for Girls program has built safe and clean WASH facilities, including new toilet blocks and fresh water supplies at remote and rural schools.
Our Better Life for Girls program also delivers menstrual health management training for adolescent students at school, and provides access to essential sanitary products so that they can safely and reliably manage their menstrual health.
