What happened in Venezuela?

Two powerful earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude, struck central and northern Venezuela, causing widespread destruction. Airports, hospitals, hotels, and homes collapsed, and the impact was felt across neighbouring countries. The Venezuelan government has declared a national emergency.

Official reports confirm at least 3,535 fatalities, over 16,740 injured and many more displaced and missing. Around 6.2 million people were exposed to the quakes, and the government estimates 70,000 families are directly affected.

Good Neighbours is working alongside local partners in the worst-affected areas to distribute emergency relief kits — including food and essential supplies — and provide temporary shelter for displaced families.

Your donation goes directly to earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela, funding emergency food kits and temporary shelter for families who have lost their homes.
