  • This region is already home to a large population of vulnerable individuals, as a result of more than a decade of conflict
  • Collapsed buildings and damaged roads have left children and families defenseless in freezing and snowy conditions, as they are deprived of food, water, and other essential resources.
  • Many refugees from Syria and families residing near the border of Türkiye and Syria are living in vehicles due to no access to shelter.
  • Essentials items such as tents for families, hygiene packs, hot food, and solar lamps, are urgently needed.

How Are We Responding to This Crisis

Good Neighbours serves people in need beyond ethnicity, religion, belief, and nationality. In response to a humanitarian crisis, our teams are working to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the affected people in a timely manner.

Good Neighbours responds to the Turkiye-Syria earthquake crisis with a commitment of US$1 million in emergency relief to provide essential supplies such as food kits, blankets, tents, and other warming items to those in need.

  • On February 7, Good Neighbours dispatched our first initial assessment team. We are currently working in Kilis, Adana, Gaziantep, as these areas have been most affected by the. Turkiye-Syria earthquakes.
