Good Neighbours Australia Achieves DFAT Accreditation
GNAU is proud to announce that we recently became accredited by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), responsible for managing Australia’s development program.
To achieve accreditation, GNAU’s systems, policies and processes were rigorously reviewed by the Australian Government.
This is a significant milestone for GNAU which recognises our commitment to delivering high‑quality, accountable, and impactful international development programs. Just over 60 Australian NGO’s are similarly accredited by DFAT.
What DFAT Accreditation Means
DFAT accreditation is a rigorous process that assesses an organisation’s governance, financial systems, risk management, safeguarding and program effectiveness. Achieving accreditation confirms that GNAU meets the Australian Government’s highest standards for development organisations.
This recognition strengthens our ability to partner with government, NGOs, and donors, and positions us to expand our work supporting vulnerable children, families, and communities across South and South-East Asia, in particular.
