Good Barber Project

Sadly, around half of Vietnam’s unemployed are people under the age of 25 years, with many of those having left school early. Without furthering their education, disadvantaged youth often end up toiling away as subsistence farmers or pursuing other low paying jobs. But, our Good Barber Project is giving talented young people aged between 16 and 18 years, the opportunity to attend vocational hairdresser training in Hanoi City. After graduating from the course students find careers in salons or start their own businesses, earning an average of $600 – $900 a month, more than five times the average income of their village household.

How to Give

A donation of $45 will help cover the cost of a month’s worth of lunchtime meals for the student during their training.

Hairdressing Training

$200 will cover the full cost of hairdressing training for one student over a month.

Full Training

$450 will cover all tuition fees for 3 months, as well as lunchtime meals, return travel to the training centre and accommodation fees for one student.
