Emergency Response
Disasters can happen at any time, anywhere. These tragedies can be small or large in scale, but there's no doubt that all emergency situations will negatively impact people's quality of life.
Our emergency responses will implement disaster management projects to help communities bounce back.
How Can You Help?
Today, more than 130 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance just to survive, and over half of them are children.
Especially in poorer communities, disaster relief is essential in order for all community members – children and adults alike – to survive and navigate their way through the crisis.
Our emergency assistance helps people to overcome immediate problems, but creating sustainable communities is another top priority. The Good Neighbours approach achieves this by building up community resources and infrastructure so that they are better equipped to deal with issues in the long term.
Here's how your donation can make a difference.

01
Helping Communities Recover from Disasters
Whenever disaster strikes, you can be sure Good Neighbours will be at the scene providing emergency response aid.
We collaborate with affected locals to rebuild their homes and communities. To do this, we manage disasters by providing relief packages, livelihood and protection support, as well as initiate reconstruction projects.
Currently, some of the groups we have helped include refugees and rural communities afflicted by natural disasters in developing countries.
02
Supporting Aussie Neighbours
On top of providing support for our international neighbours, Good Neighbours Australia also implements emergency response projects right here in the land down under.
Our most recent project, the Winter Warmer Hamper, distributed 100 hampers each containing essential food and hygiene items in order to help improve the mental health of the Burmese-Australian community.
Check out some of our domestic projects below!

Winter Warmer Hamper
Thanks to secured funding by Multicultural NSW, we have launched 2 projects and delivered over 700 hampers containing essential food and hygiene items. Continuing our mission in supporting our neighbours, we helped over ten multicultural communities across NSW.

Food Support for Bushfire victims
We partnered with OZ harvest in providing food to communities drastically affected by bushfires. $10,000 we raised with Good Neighbours Canada provided meals for bushfire victims in the NSW North and South Coast, Southern Highlands and Wagga regions.
