Every child deserves a future filled with hope, opportunity and joy. As we mark World Children’s Day this year, we’re reminded of the incredible potential that lies within every child and our capability to make a difference to their future. This global celebration is not just about recognising children’s rights, but also about taking action to ensure those rights are protected and nurtured.

At Good Neighbours Australia, protecting the rights and well-being of children is at the heart of what we do. Through our Child Sponsorship Program, you can partner with us to help children receive the support they need to thrive.

Why Sponsor A Child

When you sponsor a child, your support helps them access services and resources to enhance their life and learning opportunities, including:

Education
Healthcare
Access to water and improved sanitation
Other resources, such as food and clothing.

You have the unique chance to personally connect with your sponsored child and be part of their life-changing journey.

Your sponsorship also assists their family and strengthens the community they live in through our development projects, focused on economic empowerment, health and nutrition, and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) access.

How Child Sponsorship Works

We partner with our team in Vietnam to support children in need of sponsorship. You can nominate the preferred age of your beneficiary, or we can suggest a child who’s in the greatest need of support.

Once matched, you’ll receive a welcome pack with your child’s details, a photo and information about their community.

Twice a year, you’ll receive updates, including an annual progress report with photos and a letter from your child. If you’d like to increase contact, we’re happy to facilitate extra communications throughout the year.
