Stories of Good Change
In partnership with Good Neighbors Ukraine and Fight for Freedom (FFF), in-kind items donated by Australian supporters are currently being distributed to families across 10 regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Sumy, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Kherson. As the items reach the people who need them most, recipients have shared their thanks along with their personal stories.
Ludmyla's Story: Support After a Difficult Time
Ludmyla is a mother of three who also cares for her younger sister. She is one of the people receiving support through this distribution.
She described a difficult period when her home was ransacked during the invasion. “They went through our shelves, everything turned over, pots – thrown on the floor,” she said.
Despite this experience, Ludmyla stays positive. She and her children were delighted to receive the warm blankets, hand-crafted knits, socks and thermals, along with encouraging cards and words of support from donors in Australia.

Yevheniia and Bohdan: Why This Support Matters
Another recipient, Yevheniia, has also been through some hard times, alongside her son Bohdan. Speaking about the donations she gratefully received, she said, “You are people with such big hearts.” For Yevheniia and Bohdan, every kind act of support and solidarity carries deep meaning with it.
