Australian Projects
At Good Neighbours Australia, we believe that community development is essential. With the help of our sponsors and donors, our humanitarian aid efforts develop a strong and sustainable framework for the most vulnerable communities. We offer assistance with advocacy, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, water & sanitation, and responses to emergency events.
Each time we commence a project in one of these areas, we are one step closer to empowering communities and fulfilling our mission of ending poverty, while creating a better future for children all over the world.
What are our Australian-based projects that your support helps with?

Connection Through Creativity
The Intergenerational Art project was supported by Strathfield Council to help bring elderly and younger generations together. The past few years have been very isolating for many people, particularly those living alone and this project aims to help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation through the medium of creating art.

Refugee Support for Ukraine
Good Neighbours is partnering with the Ukrainian Council of NSW to help provide food, medical, clothing, and lifestyle supplies for refugees who have recently arrived in Australia. We call on the donation of these products from our corporate partners as well as the NSW Government.

Vaccination transport Project
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people from diverse and non-English speaking backgrounds found themselves in difficult situations. Often without clear information or guidance on how to get vaccinated and the recommendations on basic medical advice. Good Neighbours worked with the NSW Government to provide transport vouchers to allow these people to get to COVID vaccination clinics.

Winter Warmer Project
Many people found themselves in difficult circumstances during the COVID pandemic. Often it was our migrant communities who lost their service-based work. Good Neighbours and our corporate partners put together food and health hampers to help people get through these difficult times.
